Our mission statement says it all: We strongly believe in taking a holistic approach to empowering independence in individuals with disabilities. We know that every person we serve is unique and each client is treated as such. You can be assured that a detailed, individualized plan of action will be designed with attention to both strengths and areas of need. The same is true with trainings--Empowerment Services will personalize trainings based on your agency's needs, whether it's coaching staff on effective crisis resolution techniques or educating police or fire departments on recognizing and communicating with people with disabilities. Empowerment Services will work diligently and professionally to accommodate all of your agency's needs.
Company History
Empowerment Services became an formal business in June of 2007 and opened its doors for business in July. Throughout the summer months and school year, our team provides on going social skills groups to children with a variety of disabilities. We have expanded our facility to incorporate two classrooms to simulate real life settings. Marie and her team also provides to our adult clients job skills training and functional daily living skills, such as hygiene and self care. We work in the community with our clients on appropriate public behavior, self advocacy and safety. Marie has provided multiple trainings on crisis intervention to families school districts and agencies. The services we provide are numerous and broad ranging. Empowerment Services is currently located in SW Portland.
